অশ্রুবাষ্প সুদূরে মিলাক॥ 

মুছে যাক গ্লানি, ঘুচে যাক জরা, 
অগ্নিস্নানে শুচি হোক ধরা। 

রসের আবেশরাশি শুষ্ক করি দাও আসি 
আনো আনো আনো তব প্রলয়ের শাঁখ। 
মায়ার কুজ্ঝটিজাল যাক দূরে যাক॥

Translation

Welcome dear, the first month of the year, welcome dear. 
With your hot exhaled air blow away the specter destined to wither. 
Scrap away the debris of the entire year. 

Let go old memories, let go forgotten melodies. 
Let fade away tear's vapor in afar. 

Wipe away weariness, erase feebleness 
Bathed in fire may the earth attain pureness. 

The remnants of despair dry out as you come dear. 
Blow blow blow your great conch of furor. 
Let the web of illusions tear, let it tear.
