ডানা মেলে ফিরে কেন আশা তারি কাছে
যেখানে প্রদীপ ছিলো সেখানে আঁধার
নয়নের জল হয়ে ফিরে এলো সে আবার
কোনো তারা নেই আজ আকাশের গায়ে
আলেয়ার আলো এসে আলো দিয়ে যায়
জোনাকিরা কালো রাত ভরে দিয়ে গেছে
সে জেনো আমার পাশে আজও বসে আছে
Translation
She is still seated by my side it seems.
The day has burnt, only light remains.
My heart is like a destroyed bird's nest.
Nothing is inside heart as for yet.
Spreading your wings why fly back again?
Where there was lamp now there is darkness.
She returned back by becoming teardrops of eyes.
There are no stars abreast the skies.
Illumination is given by illusive lights.
Fireflies now fill the night's dims.
She is still seated by my side it seems.
