Chander haashir bandh bhengeche, uchhle pore aalo
O Rajnigandha, tomar gandhosudha dhhalo.
Pagol haowa bujhte naare daak porechhe kothai taare
Phooler bone jaar pashe jaai taarei laage bhalo.
Neel gogoner lolaatkhani chondone aaj makha,
Baniboner hongsomithun melechhe aaj pakha
Parijater keshor niye dhoray, shoshi, chhorao ki e.
Indropurir kon romoni basorprodip jaalo.
চাঁদের হাসির বাঁধ ভেঙেছে, উছলে পড়ে আলো।
ও রজনীগন্ধা, তোমার গন্ধসুধা ঢালো ॥
পাগল হাওয়া বুঝতে নারে; ডাক পড়েছে কোথায় তারে
ফুলের বনে যার পাশে যায় তারেই লাগে ভালো ॥
নীল গগনের ললাটখানি চন্দনে আজ মাখা,
বাণীবনের হংসমিথুন মেলেছে আজ পাখা।
পারিজাতের কেশর নিয়ে ধরায়, শশী, ছড়াও কী এ।
ইন্দ্রপুরীর কোন্ রমণী বাসরপ্রদীপ জ্বালো ॥
Translation
The smiles of moon break all barriers, glows overflow.
O' tuberose, your fragrances, you pour now.
Frenzied breeze is confused, who calls from where!
In flower garden wherever it goes, everyone fills with joy.
The forehead of blue sky is smeared with sandalwood dust tonight.
The lovemaking-swans sing spreading wings in such airy woods tonight.
The manes of the moon spread all over the land, O'moon, you awe!
It appears as if some heavenly bride, lamp of her bedroom she glows.
