Translation

Everyday beneath the eyes, a dream walks-flies. 
Whole night kohl blazes in eyes; like the lamp of dream's fires. 

Since the day the sugar of your name touched my lips. 
My pains have sweetened and loneliness is also sweet. 

My heart has a small dilemma, please do fix it and reply. 
I learnt to live while dying, now you teach me how to die. 

You let loose your hairs on eyes. 
In ways that the poor dreams now flies.

Bodhu michhe raag koro na, koro na | 
Momo-mon bujhe dekho mone mone – mone rekho, koro karuna || 

Pachhe aponare rakhite na pari 
Tai kachhe kachhe thaki aponari – 
Mukhe hese jai, mone kende chai – se amar nahe chhalana || 

Dineker dekha tileker sukh, 
Kshaniker tare sudhu hasimukh – 
Palaker tare thake buk bhore chirajanamer bedona | 

Tari majhe keno eto sadhasadhi, 
Abujh andhare keno mori kandi – 
Door hote ese phire jai sheshe – bohiya biphala basona || 
বধু, মিছে রাগ কোরো না, কোরো না। 
মম মন বুঝে দেখো মনে মনে--মনে রেখো, কোরো করুণা॥ 

পাছে আপনারে রাখিতে না পারি 
তাই কাছে কাছে থাকি আপনারি
মুখে হেসে যাই, মনে কেঁদে চাই-সে আমার নহে ছলনা॥ 

দিনেকের দেখা, তিলেকের সুখ, 
ক্ষণেকের তরে শুধু হাসিমুখ
পলকের পরে থাকে বুক ভ'রে চিরজনমের বেদনা। 

তারি মাঝে কেন এত সাধাসাধি, 
অবুঝ আঁধারে কেন মরি কাঁদি
দূর হতে এসে ফিরে যাই শেষে বহিয়া বিফল বাসনা॥

Translation

Sweetheart, don't pretend anger for no reason. 
See me with your mind-remember me with compassion. 

Lest I couldn't contain myself; 
So I contain within myself. 
I smile with my lips, weep in abyss, but this is not deception. 

A day's tryst, a moment's happiness; 
Just for a moment a smiling face. 
The fleeting moment stays in heart forever as memories of separation. 

Then all this while why to importunate 
This mind in darkness why it weeps in homage. 
I return from afar only to shoulder unfulfilled fascination.
