ভাষা ছিল কথা ছিল 

কাছে ডাকলে না বলে মন কথা বললো না।। 

ঝর্ণা কেমনে হয় নদী 

সাগরে ডাকে কভু যদি 

তাই যেতে যেতে থামলো সে বয়ে চললো না।। 

বুক ভরা আশা নিয়ে মন আমার 

শুধু শুধু কাছে এলো পারলো না দিতে কিছু উপহার 

যে মালার ফুল গেছে ঝরে রেখেছি সে ফুল বুকে করে 

তার এই ফুল রয়ে গেল কেউ তুললো না।।
