দুঃখের তিমিরে যদি জ্বলে তব মঙ্গল-আলোক

তবে তাই হোক।

মৃত্যু যদি কাছে আনে তোমার অমৃতময় লোক

তবে তাই হোক ॥

পূজার প্রদীপে তব জ্বলে যদি মম দীপ্ত শোক

তবে তাই হোক।

অশ্রু-আঁখি- 'পরে যদি ফুটে ওঠে তব স্নেহচোখ

তবে তাই হোক ॥

Translation

If in darkness of gloom lights lamp of your welfare. 

So be it.

If to your everlasting abode, death brings me near.

So be it.

If my deep sorrows burn away in flames of lamp of prayer. 

So be it.

If an image of your loving eyes rises in my eyes as falls my tear.   

So be it.
