Keho kaaro mon bujhe na, kachhe eshe sore jaay
Sohager hasiti keno chokher jole more jai
Batas jokhon kende gelo pran khule phul phutilo na
Saanjher bela ekakini keno re phul jhore jai
Mukher paane cheye dekho, ankhite milao ankhi
Madhur prane kotha pranete rekho na dhhaki
E rojoni rohibe na, ar kotha hoibe na
Prabhate rohibe sudhu hridoyer haihai
কেহ কারো মন বুঝে না, কাছে এসে সরে যায়।
সোহাগের হাসিটি কেন চোখের জলে মরে যায়॥
বাতাস যখন কেঁদে গেল প্রাণ খুলে ফুল ফুটিল না,
সাঁঝের বেলা একাকিনী কেন রে ফুল ঝরে যায়॥
মুখের পানে চেয়ে দেখো, আঁখিতে মিলাও আঁখি
মধুর প্রাণের কথা প্রাণেতে রেখো না ঢাকি।
এ রজনী রহিবে না, আর কথা হইবে না
প্রভাতে রহিবে শুধু হৃদয়ের হায়-হায়॥
Translation
No one can fathom anyone's heart, they come near only to move away.
Why does the loving smile in tears of eyes wash away?
When breeze blew wailing why didn't flowers blossom soulfully?
At dusk why did the lone flower silently wilt away?
Stare into the face, lock eyes with eyes.
Sweet thoughts of soul's, do not hide in your insides.
This night for long shall not stay, gone will be time to say-
At dawn in heart only the mourning shall stay.
