সূর্য সোনার আশির্বাদে আলোয় এলাম চলে 

তোমার রক্ত কনায় ঠাঁই দিলে মা ধন্য হলাম আমি 

চোখ মেলতেই তোমার দু চোখ দেখতে পেলাম আমি 

আমার জন্যে নিলে তুমি অশেষ ব্যথা 

বুঝিয়ে দিলে মা হওয়া নয় মুখের কথা 

আমার কান্না হলো মধুর হাসি তোমার মন্ত্রবলে

Translation

O' mother, dear mother, I came under your shelter. 

To become humane with your devotion with you I tether. 

From some illusive unknown place that resides afar. 

From the darkness that engulfs seven ocean's shore. 

I came to you at dawn break when the golden rays shower. 

I was blessed when you gave me shelter in your eye's corner. 

I could see your eye duo as I wake up-open my eyes whenever. 

For me many pains you did shoulder. 

Explained that it is not easy to be a mother. 

With your blessing my cries have turned into laughter.
