Tabo nabo prabhater nabin sisir-dhala.
Shorome-jarito kotona golap kotona garabi karobi,
Kotona kusum phutechhe tomar malancha kori aala.
Amal saratsitalsamir bohichhe tomari keshe,
Kishore-arunkiran tomar adhare porechhe eshe
Taboanchal hote bonopothe phul jetechhe poriya jhoria
Onek kundo onek shefali bhorechhe tomar dala.
আমি চাহিতে এসেছি শুধু একখানি মালা
তব নব প্রভাতের নবীন-শিশির-ঢালা ॥
শরমে-জড়িত কত-না গোলাপ কত-না গরবি করবী,
কত-না কুসুম ফুটেছে তোমার মালঞ্চ করি আলা ॥
অমল শরত-শীতল-সমীর বহিছে তোমারি কেশে,
কিশোর-অরুণ-কিরণ তোমার অধরে পড়েছে এসে।
তব অঞ্চল হতে বনপথে ফুল যেতেছে পড়িয়া ঝরিয়া
অনেক কুন্দ অনেক শেফালি ভরেছে তোমার ডালা ॥
Translation.
I came to ask for just one garland from you.
Of your new dawn drenched with fresh dew.
Bashful roses so many, boastful oleanders.
Flowers so many have bloomed, your garden they hue.
Virgin cool breeze of autumn flows through your hairs.
On your lips fall the young Sun rays.
On way to woods from your raiment shower flowers,
With many jasmines-coral jasmines is filled basket of yours .
