Lyrics
Unse milkar hamen rona thaa bahut rona thaa
Tangi-e-waqt-e-mulaakat ne rone na diya
Rone waalon se kaho unka bhee rona rolen
Jinko majboori-e-haalaat ne rone na diya
Ek do roz kaa sadma ho to ro lein, 'Faakir'

Translation.
In love, the fear of feelings being exposed did not allow me to cry.
Otherwise, what was the reason that did not allow me to cry.
You said that, by crying the fate shall not change.
For whole life, your quote did not allow me to cry.
After meeting with you, I wanted to cry, wanted to cry alot.
The lack of time of our meeting did not allow me to cry.
Tell those wish to cry, to cry their heart out.
Whom the helplessness of situation did not allow to cry.
If the sorrows were for a day or two, then I would've cried;
The sorrows of everyday, did not allow me to cry.

Lyrics

Me to my friend and my friend to me didn't allow to sleep.
For whole night the awakened fortunes didn't allow to sleep.
One night the fate of restless nightangle did not awake.
The hidden thorns in the flower didn't allow to sleep.
Entire night the restless heart spoke to me.
The entrapment of distress and hardwork didn't allow to sleep.

P.S:
1> Clearly these Ghazals were written 100 years apart.
For Sudarshan Faakir (1922-2008)
Khwaja Haider Ali ‘Aatish’ (1778-1848)
2> Jagjit Singh definitely did some research to combine these two.
3> The second Ghazal specially is so pristine, it left me mesmerized.
Just see the simplicity of deliverance.
"I toil for the whole day.
So when should I pray?
So I talk to God throughout the night.
And thus our conversation didn't allow us to sleep."
Just wow.
The poet is "Khwaja" i.e. Sufi, soft Islamic cult, influenced by Hinduism.
It is practice among Hindus to put God to sleep (Shayan) after Sandhya Arati
