Maathar pore khule gechhe
Aakasher oi sunil dhaakna.
Dharoni aaj melechhe taar hridoykhaani,
Se jeno re kaahar baani.
Kothin maati monke aaji dey naa baadha.
Se kon sure saadha -
Bissho bole moner kotha,
Kaaj pore aaj thaake thaak-na.

মন উড়েছে উড়ুক-না রে
মেলে দিয়ে গানের পাখ্না ॥
আজকে আমার প্রাণ ফোয়ারার সুর ছুটেছে,
দেহের বাঁধ টুটেছে
মাথার 'পরে খুলে গেছে
আকাশের ওই সুনীল ঢাক্না ॥
ধরণী আজ মেলেছে তার হৃদয়খানি,
সে যেন রে কাহার বাণী ।
কঠিন মাটি মনকে আজি দেয় না বাধা ।
সে কোন্ সুরে সাধা
বিশ্ব বলে মনের কথা,
কাজ প'ড়ে আজ থাকে থাক্-না ॥

Translation
If days pass by this way, it may.
Spreading wings of melody-
If mind wishes to fly, it may.
The tune of my life-spring is surging today.
Smashing barriers of my body.
Over me has opened up
The canopy of blue sky.
The earth today, its heart it bares.
The words of someone it airs.
The firm earth stops not the mind today.
It too is bound by unknown melody.
The world tells my tales
If works remain; it may.
