Translation

কক্ষনও বা মাটি, কক্ষনও বা আকাশ মেলেনা।। 

এ কি অবাক-কাণ্ড; সবাই শুধু নিজের মধ্য বন্ধ। 
ভাষা যদিও বা মেলে; সম্ভাষণের লোক মেলেনা।।  

কেই বা নেভাতে পেরেছে সময়ের অগ্নি-কাণ্ড 
এ এক এমন আগুন যেখানে ধোয়াঁ মেলেনা।। 

তোমার দুনিয়াতে এরকম নয় যে ভালবাসা নেই
যেখানে আশা করি থাকি শুধু সেখানে মেলেনা।।   

এরকমও নয় যে গোটা শহরে মন্দির নেই কোথাও, 
যেখানে দরকার থাকে শুধু সেখানে মেলেনা।। 

কোথায়ে জ্বালায়ি প্রদীপ, কোথায় রাখি ফুল! 
ছাদ তো পাওয়া যায়; আকাশ মেলেনা।।
