Translation.
Wonder who those folks are who got love in love's return.
Whenever flowers I asked for, garland of thorns I got in return.
When I looked for joy's horizon, halos of sadness I got.
When I asked for notes of love, sighs of coldness I got.
As I met a compassionate, my sorrows doubled in return.
Every companion deserted me after giving momentary company.
