Dil jigar tashna-e-fariyaad aaya

Uzr-e-waamaandagee 'ei hasrat-e-dil

क्यों तेरा राहगुज़र याद आया

क्या ही रिज़वान से लड़ाई होगी

Translation

Today again, my eyes filled with tears came to my mind.

The thirst of my heart and its pleas came to my mind. 

The calamity had paused for a moment 

Then times of your journey with me came to my mind.

The desires of the heart are quite simple.

Then complexities of your magic of love came to my mind.

Displaying were excuse of fatigue, the desires of my heart.

Then the condition of my wailing heart came to my mind. 

The life would have spent anyway.

Then why did your ways come to my mind. 

Will there be a conflict with the gatekeeper of the paradise;

When your house comes to my mind. 

Ah, where is the ability to lament now.

Tired of my heart, my liver came to my mind. 

Again my mind loses in your narrow lanes.

Then my heart which I lost there came to my mind. 

There is desolate in this desolateness.

Then by sight of desert, thoughts of home came to my mind.

আজকে আবার আমার অশ্রুর কথা মনে পড়ল।

আমার হৃদয়ের তৃষ্ণা ও তার প্রার্থনা মনে পড়ল।। 

প্রলয় থেমেছিল কিছু ক্ষণের জন্য বটে

তোমার সাথে আমার পথ চলা মনে পড়ল।। 

হৃদয়ের বাসনা গুলি খুবই সহজ সরল 

তোমার প্রেমের মায়ার জটিলতা মনে পড়ল।।

ক্লান্তির কথা বলছে হৃদয়ের বাসনা গুলি

তখন আমার হৃদয়ের ক্রন্দনের কথা মনে পড়ল।। 

আমার জীবন ঠিকই কেটে যেত 

তাহলে তোমার পথের কথা কেন মনে পড়ল।। 

স্বর্গের দ্বার রক্ষীর সাথে দ্বন্দ হবে বুঝি

তোমার বাড়ির কথা যে মনে পড়ল।। 

আহ! দুঃখ করার ক্ষমতা আর কোথায়! 

হৃদয় ভুলে আমার এখন সমগ্র দেহের কথা মনে পড়ল।।

আবার আমার মন হারিয়ে যায়ে তোমার বাড়ির গলিতে 

তখন আবার আমার হারানো হৃদয়ের কথা মনে পড়ল।। 

শূন্যতাতে শূন্যতা অবস্থান করে চলেছে
